Why Single Supplements?<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

For some, traveling alone is a choice, while for others it is a necessity. It is during booking that one realizes the accommodation budget will increase slightly.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

There are two scenarios for single rooms:<\/p>\n

– A double room (or twin room) occupied by a single person.<\/strong><\/p>\n

– A true single room, generally very small, with a 90 cm bed, and often with significantly less comfort than a standard room.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Please note that there is a significant price difference between the two cases mentioned above.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

SCENARIO 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Let’s imagine that the price of a double room for 5 nights in Tyrol costs \u20ac400 (whether occupied by 1 or 2 people), and the price of full board at the hotel is \u20ac120 per person.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

For 2 people, the cost will be: \u20ac400 for the room + \u20ac120 for full board x 2 people = \u20ac640 for 2, or \u20ac320 per person.<\/p>\n

For 1 person, the cost will be: \u20ac400 for the room + \u20ac120 for full board, totaling \u20ac520 for a single person.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

It is clear from this example that there is no supplement on the room itself, but the single person will pay the full room price, which is double that of a person sharing the room with another. Therefore, they incur a supplement of \u20ac200. <\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

SCENARIO 2<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The supplement is lower in this case, as the single person will occupy a smaller room, typically with a single 90 cm bed, which is a true single room.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Using the same example, the hotel will charge the following prices:<\/p>\n

– Price of a double room = \u20ac400<\/p>\n

– Price of a single room = \u20ac250 (1 small bed)<\/p>\n

– \u20ac120 for Full Board per person.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Travel price for 2 people = \u20ac400 for the room + \u20ac120 for full board x 2 people = \u20ac640 for 2, or \u20ac320 per person.<\/p>\n

For 1 person, the cost will be: \u20ac250 for the room + \u20ac120 for full board, totaling \u20ac370 for a single person.<\/p>\n

Thus, there will be a room price difference of \u20ac50 for a single person.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Two solutions to the problem: the hotelier either does not accept single rooms or limits them. <\/strong>Alternatively, as in the first scenario, the single room is charged at the double room rate. <\/strong><\/p>\n

In concrete terms, we can conclude that this is not a supplement but a fixed room price, which is certainly more advantageous when accompanied by another person. Nevertheless, the main thing is to travel and enjoy oneself. <\/strong><\/p>\n

We limit the number of single rooms to 10% of a full coach.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It should be noted that our single rooms are ALWAYS true single rooms with a single 90 cm bed, smaller than a classic double room.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hoteliers charge us for all single rooms. We are therefore obliged to pass on these charges. WE CANNOT ABSORB THE SUPPLEMENTS. <\/strong><\/p>\n

If you wish to have a true double room for single occupancy, we can provide you with the price, but please bear in mind that it will be substantial (Scenario 1).<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
