Day 2 - HIKE TO THE ABANDONED VILLAGE OF OCCI
Breakfast on board and arrival around 7:00 AM in Bastia. Departure by coach to Lumio. In the heart of the blooming maquis, the appearance of Occi village, silhouetted against the intense blue of the sea below, is truly captivating. The walls of the ruined houses still stand tall, traces of life are everywhere: an olive press in a cellar, a threshing floor that seems to await the harvest... Effortlessly, it's a journey back in time. Packed lunch during the hike. Check-in at the hotel at the end of the day. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3 - HIKE IN THE TAVIGNANO VALLEY
After breakfast, departure towards Ponte Leccia and Corte. From the citadel of Corte, the hike begins along the ancient transhumance path that allows passage beyond the mountains. This trail is a section of the Mare a Mare Nord of the Corsica Regional Natural Park. The proposed stage leads into the Tavignano gorges. Approaching the river, the trail reaches Russulinu and its small green area. A short rest before returning, with the possibility of swimming depending on the season. Packed lunch at the end of the day. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 - SIGHTSEEING DAY IN ILE ROUSSE, SAINT FLORENT AND THE AGRIATES DESERT
After breakfast, departure towards St-Florent and its gulf. St-Florent occupies an ancient site located 1 km from the former Roman Nebbio, which gives its name to the region. St-Florent is nicknamed "the Corsican St-Tropez". A delightful small marina, constantly renovated and redeveloped, with narrow streets dotted with restaurants and boutiques, and superb buildings that seem to tumble into the sea. It nestles in the heart of the gulf of the same name and serves as a starting point for boaters heading to the magnificent, still wild beaches that stretch along the maquis towards Balagne. Crossing the Agriates Desert, a strange chaos of jagged rocks. A gently sloping rocky accumulation, whose beautiful metallic grey color harmonizes well with the deep blue of the Mediterranean. Continuation to Île Rousse, the city of Pascal Paoli, one of the island's most charming coastal towns, known for the color of its water, the surrounding rocks that give it its name, and the luminosity and personality of a recent but very "Corsican" town, as intended by its founder. Lunch at a restaurant during the visit. In the evening, return to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 - HIKE TO OSTRICONI
Breakfast and departure for a beautiful loop hike to discover a part of the Agriates Desert. Departure from the Ostriconi site towards Cima di l’Orca and its Oriu (a converted rock shelter). The trail continues towards the summit of Punta Liatoggiu with a splendid panorama of the cove and Île Rousse in the background, then descends through dunes, prickly pear cacti, and old sheepfolds towards Ostriconi beach. Continue along the coastline to discover the ruins of the magazini, Punta di Paraghjola, and the ruins of a Genoese tower. Return via the coast, Ostriconi beach, and Le Gradu. Packed lunch during the hike. Return to the hotel at the end of the day. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6 - HIKE TO THE VILLAGES OF BALAGNE
Breakfast and departure for a walking discovery of the Balagne villages perched like balconies over the sea. With its steep streets, Sant’Antoninu can be considered one of the most beautiful villages on the island, with its granite houses from Pigna. Balagne will gradually charm you with its villages located in "eagle's nests". A gentle descent towards the port of Île Rousse. Packed lunch during the hike. Then, transfer to the port of Bastia and embarkation aboard the ship for an evening departure. Dinner at leisure at the port or on board. Cabin check-in and overnight on board.
Day 7 - RETURN
Breakfast at leisure on board and morning arrival in Toulon or Nice. After disembarkation, return by coach to your locality.
