Day 1 - DEPARTURE TO VENICE
Meeting at the airport in France. Boarding formalities and flight on a low-cost airline to Venice. Upon arrival, transfer by coach to your 3-star hotel in the Lido di Jesolo area. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 - SIGHTSEEING DAY AT POSTOJNA CAVE AND PREDJAMA CASTLE
Breakfast and departure for an audio-guided tour of Postojna Cave, which is among the most diverse cave systems in the world. You will ride a 140-year-old small train. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, an audio-guided tour of the magnificent Predjama Castle, perched high on a cliff. It holds the Guinness World Record for the largest cave castle. The natural and artificial elements blend so seamlessly that it is difficult to distinguish where one begins and the other ends. In the late afternoon, departure by coach towards northern Slovenia. Day 3 - HIKE IN BOHINJ VALLEY AND VOGEL
Breakfast at the hotel. Bus departure towards Lake Bohinj. Vogel cable car, up to an altitude of 1,500m. Walk towards the ridge (towards Vogel) with views of the entire Triglav massif and its highest point (2,864m) on one side, and the Adriatic on the other. Packed lunch during the hike. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 - HIKE TO MOSTNICA AND USKOVNICA
Breakfast at the hotel. Bus departure taking us 30 km from the hotel, at the foot of Lake Bohinj. Towards Uskovnica (a small high-altitude hamlet of renovated old sheepfolds) for some, and towards Voje Valley for others. Walk towards Mostnica waterfall, following the beautiful gorges of the same name. Then the hike continues towards Lake Bohinj. Foot bath by the lake and optional swimming (water temperature can reach up to 22 degrees Celsius in mid-summer). Packed lunch during the hike. Return to the hotel at the end of the day. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 - SIGHTSEEING DAY IN LJUBLJANA AND BLED
Breakfast and departure by coach towards the Slovenian capital Ljubljana for a 2-hour guided tour of this magnificent small city. Walking on the cobblestones of Stara Ljubljana (Old Town), with its red-roofed houses nestled closely together, passing by the City Hall and its elegant white marble Robba Fountain. Lunch at a restaurant. In the afternoon, a funicular ride up to Ljubljana Castle, which overlooks the city. Visit to the castle (entrance included). From its white tower, courtyard, and landscaped roof, visitors have a beautiful 360° view of Ljubljana and the rooftops of the old town's houses. Descent on foot, a fifteen-minute walk under the beech foliage. Return to the hotel at the end of the day. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6 - HIKE TO VELIKA PLANINA
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for a day at Velika Planina, one of the most beautiful walks in Slovenia! It is the most astonishing place in the Slovenian Alps. Located on a plateau in the heart of a vast wooden village perched at 1,500m, you can walk on short grass amidst small wooden huts. Dozens of cows melodically shake their bells. The atmosphere is truly magical! Along this entire ridge, magnificent viewpoints await you. Packed lunch during the hike. Return to the hotel at the end of the day. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7 - HIKE IN VINTGAR GORGE AND BLED
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for a walk in the Vintgar Gorge, where a network of well-maintained boardwalks follows the tumultuous river, offering breathtaking panoramas at every turn. The day continues with the exploration of Lake Bled, a true jewel of Slovenia. A boat trip will take you to the heart of this lake to a small island, followed by an ascent to discover the picturesque church. Packed lunch during the hike. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8 - RETURN
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer by coach to Venice airport. Meeting, boarding formalities, and flight on a low-cost airline to France.
