Day 1 - DEPARTURE TO QUEVEDA
Departure in the morning by coach towards the Spanish border. Lunch at leisure en route. Arrival in Queveda. Group welcome by the mountain guide. Check-in at a 4-star hotel.
Welcome aperitif with Sangria and Tapas. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 - HIKE IN SOMO AND LANGRE
Breakfast. Departure for a full-day hike: traverse along the 3km long beach of Somo and Loredo. Then, through coastal paths, cliffs, and natural pools, arrive at the wild coves of Langre. Return inland. The route leads to Langre and Loredo to reach Loredo campsite and the beach again. Packed lunch. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Itinerary: The same hike for both levels but at a different pace.
Day 3 - HIKE IN THE PICOS DE EUROPA
Breakfast. Departure for a full-day excursion:
Easy level: the "Bajo los Picos de Europa" route located at the foot of the Picos de Europa mountain range. This route, through a walk, allows you to recognize some of the region's most representative forests and discover a great diversity of flora and fauna.
Medium level: a 40 km mountain range with a culminating point of 2,648 m. Ascent to Fuente Dé by taking the cable car to the Mirador del Cable at 1,800 meters altitude to discover the entire Picos de Europa range (minimum 20 people, feasible depending on weather conditions). The route showcases all the beauty of Spain's first National Park. High mountain landscape.
Packed lunch during the hike. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 - SIGHTSEEING DAY IN COMILLAS AND SANTILLANA DEL MAR
Breakfast. Departure for an excursion to Comillas: Declared a Historic and Artistic Site. Among its cobbled streets and small squares, mansions, towers, and modernist-style buildings follow one another. Visit to the Palacio del Sobrellano. Return to the hotel. Lunch. In the afternoon, excursion to Santillana del Mar, whose artistic heritage is among the best preserved in Spain. This ancient town, built in the 9th century, contains medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque buildings. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 - HIKE TO MOUNT BUCIERO
Breakfast. Departure for a full-day excursion to Santoña. The massif is part of the Santoña Marshes Natural Park, entirely covered by a dense forest of holm oaks, laurels, and strawberry trees. To the west, some meadows where cattle graze appear. Fortifications, batteries, powder magazines… vestiges of the defensive nature of this strategic location are found throughout the itinerary. It is thus qualified as a true "Gibraltar of the North". Packed lunch during the hike. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6 - HIKE ON THE CAMINO DE SANTIAGO
Breakfast. Coastal path towards Santiago de Compostela. After leaving the town of Comillas, a heritage village of Cantabria, located by the sea and preserving a remarkable historical-artistic ensemble from the late 19th century "Catalan Art Nouveau", descend the "Camino" for a few kilometers along a secondary road to reach the heart of the Oyambre Natural Park, declared in 1988, with various ecosystems characteristic of the Cantabrian coast. From there, the hike continues by crossing Oyambre beach to reach the cape after an ascent. Upon arrival at the cape, enjoy views of the ocean, beaches, and coast on one side, and the Picos de Europa mountain ranges on the other. The hike continues along a track to San Vicente de la Barquera beach, 4 km long at low tide. Arrival at the charming fishing village of San Vicente, nestled between sea and mountains, with its old citadel perched atop a promontory surrounded by marshes. Packed lunch during the hike. Return to the hotel. Dinner, farewell dance evening with a glass of cava, and overnight stay.
Day 7 - RETURN
Breakfast and departure from the hotel towards your region. Lunch at leisure en route. Continue towards your locality.
